Still Some Hurricane Season Left

It’s not over yet…

An area of showers and thunderstorms has formed… and a low-level circulation is present… just to the northeast of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Computer forecast models are predicting a decrease in wind shear over the next several days as this area moves very slowly into the Caribbean Sea… and a Tropical Depression could form in that time frame. Regardless of what happens, it will be wet and windy with flooding possible in many parts of the Western Caribbean… including Puerto Rico.

As for any impacts on our weather here — the low should be to our south as it strengthens… and that will help tighten our pressure gradient… helping make it breezy in South Florida next week.

We’ll keep you posted… but please remember we’ve still got one month to go…
